Terms of Use

CityMoo Terms of Use

These Terms govern use of CityMoo by citizens, young participants, administrators, moderators, municipalities, NGOs, community organizations, and pilot users. By creating an account, installing the app, joining a pilot, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service provider

CityMoo is provided by EWORX S.A., Agias Varvaras 40, 15231 Chalandri, Greece. Contact for privacy and data protection matters: dpo@citymoo.com. Additional pilot-specific terms may apply where a municipality, NGO, or community organization operates an official CityMoo pilot.

2. Eligibility and young users

CityMoo encourages civic participation by citizens, including younger cohorts, subject to applicable law. If you are below the age at which you can validly consent to the service under national law, you may need guardian authorization or access through an approved school, municipality, NGO, or community program. You must provide accurate information during onboarding and comply with any age-appropriate restrictions shown in the app.

3. Accounts and roles

You are responsible for your account and for keeping credentials secure. Roles such as resident, moderator, content manager, volunteer administrator, tenant administrator, or platform administrator grant different permissions. Administrators must use elevated permissions only for legitimate pilot or platform purposes and may not access personal data without a valid operational need.

4. User content and visibility

You may submit reports, comments, proposals, photos, videos, poll responses, volunteering sign-ups, and other civic content. You retain your rights in your content, but you grant EWORX and relevant pilot organizations a non-exclusive license to host, process, display, moderate, translate, summarize, and use it as needed to operate CityMoo, support pilots, and communicate community activity. Some content may be visible to other users or shown publicly in pseudonymous or generic form.

5. Community rules

You must participate respectfully and lawfully. You must not post illegal content, threats, hate speech, harassment, bullying, defamation, misinformation intended to harm public participation, spam, impersonation, party-political manipulation, personal data of others without a lawful basis, explicit content involving minors, malware, or content that endangers people, property, or public order.

6. Reporting, moderation, and restrictions

CityMoo may review, hide, remove, label, restrict, or escalate content or accounts that violate these Terms, community rules, pilot rules, or applicable law. Moderation may be performed by EWORX, authorized pilot administrators, moderators, or trusted service providers. Users may be able to report content or appeal moderation outcomes where the feature is available. Serious illegal content or safety risks may be reported to competent authorities.

7. Location, media, and evidence

When reporting issues, you should provide accurate information and avoid uploading unnecessary personal data. If you enable precise location, it may be used to place the issue on a map and help responsible organizations respond. Photos and videos should focus on the issue, not on identifiable people, private homes, vehicle plates, children, or sensitive personal information unless strictly necessary and lawful.

8. Polls, volunteering, and civic activity

Polls and volunteering tools support participation and organization. They are not official elections or legally binding votes unless a competent authority explicitly defines them as part of a formal process. Volunteering participation is at your own responsibility and may be subject to additional instructions, safety requirements, or organizer terms.

9. Municipalities, NGOs, and administrators

Organizations using CityMoo must provide accurate pilot information, assign trained administrators, respond responsibly, respect privacy and access controls, handle exported data lawfully, and comply with applicable public-sector, NGO, data protection, accessibility, and transparency obligations. They must not use CityMoo for unrelated surveillance, discriminatory profiling, or party-political campaigning.

10. Beta and service changes

CityMoo may be offered as a beta or pilot service. Features may change, be unavailable, or be discontinued. EWORX may update the app, modify functionality, suspend pilots, or introduce new requirements where needed for security, compliance, performance, or product improvement.

11. Intellectual property and acceptable use

CityMoo software, design, trademarks, logos, and documentation belong to EWORX or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, overload, scrape, bypass security, interfere with the service, or use CityMoo to build a competing service except where mandatory law permits it.

12. Liability and governing law

CityMoo is provided with reasonable care but cannot guarantee that every report will be resolved, that every organization will respond, or that all user content is accurate. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited. These Terms are governed by Greek law, subject to mandatory consumer protection and data protection rights under EU and national law.

13. Suspension, termination, and contact

EWORX may suspend or terminate access where necessary for security, legal compliance, non-payment by an organization, pilot termination, or violation of these Terms. Users may stop using CityMoo and request account deletion subject to legal retention requirements. Questions about these Terms or privacy matters may be sent to dpo@citymoo.com.
